A communication application and partly a social network Telegram is getting an update that brings faster loading, better quality, and new controls for video speed, attaching media to sent messages, and more. Information about the update was brought by the service on its official site.
Faster loading and better video quality
For videos that are uploaded to channelsthe player will now automatically select the quality level based on your connection. This will save your prepaid data and make videos load faster. Of course, users can still manually select their preferred quality level – high, medium or low.
Just click on gear icon in the video player. Admins of large channels can now also post videos in better quality without having to pre-process their videos. Telegram for them now will optimize each recorded video and compresses it in several qualities.
Adjust playback speed
Videos on Telegram have been supporting multiple for years speed settingHowever, switching between speeds will now be much easier. Users can now seamlessly speed up videos using new gestures without having to open settings. Just hold the playing video on its right side.
Subsequently, by gradually moving your finger to the right, you can increase the speed up to 2.5 times. Release your finger to return to normal speed. You can also use Telegram’s Android app double tap to the left or right side of the video to skip in the video o 10 seconds forward or backward.
