Ten newborns killed in hospital fire in northern India – World

At least 10 newborns died in a fire in the neonatal unit of a hospital in Jhansi, northern India, a local government official announced this Saturday.

“Unfortunately, 10 children died. Seven bodies have already been identified,” the deputy chief minister of the state of Uttar Pradesh, Brajesh Pathak, told reporters.

The fire occurred late Friday at a hospital in the city of Jhansi, in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
