Tencent Games-owned Polaris Quest has announced Light of Motiram, a post-apocalyptic survival action game set in an open world overrun by mechanical animals.
In the story, human civilization ceased to exist. Giant mechanical beasts roam freely in the wild, and the surviving people try to cope with the onset of a new primitive era.
Players will have to explore a huge world, build a base, develop technology, tame and train mechanical animals, fight bosses and gradually uncover the secrets of Motiram.
Viewers of the debut trailer noticed that Light of Motiram is suspiciously similar to Horizon Zero Dawn from Guerrilla Games – a similar setting, the same mechanical animals, a red-haired heroine in the key illustration (see above).
The developers from Polaris Quest didn’t limit themselves to taking inspiration from the aesthetics of Horizon: as users of the ResetEra forum report, some combat animations in the game seem to be directly taken from Monster Hunter and Elden Ring.
They promise more than 100 mechanical beasts, extreme weather conditions, realistic physics simulation, a combat system with rolls and counterattacks, epic bosses and seamless co-op for 10 people (with crossplay).
Light of Motiram does not have a release date yet, but there are pages on Steam and the Epic Games Store. Support for the Russian language is declared for the game and system requirements are already indicated:
