Porsche has come up with an unusual offer in the Netherlands: as part of this exceptional opportunity, one lucky person can get the electric version of the brand new Macan not for money, but through trade-in.
Aware that the Dutch have a reputation as avid collectors, the Stuttgart-based brand welcomes applications from those who own rare or highly sentimental items. It can be an old comic book, a painting, jewelry, a watch, a dedicated soccer jersey, or even a Pokémon card. There are no specific restrictions in the case of the program called Dream Exchange.

The offerings – taking into account their history, rarity, condition and financial value – a Catawiki it is evaluated by internal experts of the auction house. The object considered to be the most special is put up for auction, while its (currently) owner receives a Porsche SUV in return for free and with reduced rent. The amount received from the bid is not pocketed either: it is forwarded to a charity designated by the winner of the program.
Almost ten years after its introduction, the Porsche Macan has been renewed. A significant change is that the second-generation models are now only available with an electric drive, but in return, a system output higher than ever, up to 639 horsepower, is available. In addition to the performance that rivals sports cars, it is coupled with fast charging, thanks to which the system gets enough energy for 250 kilometers in 10 minutes. With a full charge, the range according to the WLTP cycle is 641 kilometers.
The initiative launched on 18 September and registrations are open until 20 October at dreamexchange.porsche.co.uk. For comparison, let’s note that – as we alluded to in the title – tens of millions can hit the lucky winning mark with a good exchange, because the weakest, 340 horsepower version can be configured from 89,000 euros, i.e. 35.2 million forints, in the brand’s domestic on his website.
