Tension in the Middle East caused Egypt to lose 6 billion dollars

While Israel has been waging war in Gaza for a year, it is also continuing its attacks against Hezbollah in Lebanon. While the Middle East turns into a fire place, neighboring countries are also negatively affected by the tension.

Egyptian President Sisi stated that the Egyptian people are worried because the tensions and conflicts in the region may affect the stability of the entire region.

‘We lost more than 6 billion dollars’

Emphasizing that the tensions in the region have negative repercussions on the country’s economy, Sisi said, “There was a 50-60 percent decrease in Suez Canal revenues. We lost more than 6 billion dollars due to the tensions in the region during the last 7-8 months.” he said.

Sisi said that despite this, his country maintained its stability and was getting better.
