“Terrifier 3”. Horror film that made people faint premieres in November in Brazil

“Terrifier 3” will premiere on November 8th, in Portugal. NOS announced the distribution of the horror film for next month, less than 30 days after its international premiere.

In a direct continuation of the previous one, after surviving Art the Clown’s massacre on Halloween, Sienna and her brother struggle to rebuild their shattered lives. As Christmas approaches, they try to embrace the Christmas spirit and leave the horrors of the past behind. But when they think they are safe, the killer clown resumes his rampage, determined to turn the joy of the holidays into a new nightmare.

“Terrifier 3 brings the psychopathic clown back to the big screen, and promises breathtaking scenes, raising the expectations of fans, who expect an even more intense and disturbing plot” reads the NOS statement.

The film is the third chapter of an entirely independent production saga and without any type of age rating, due to its exaggerated violence. There are verified reports of people fainting after the first ten minutes of opening. A woman in Australia fell down the stairs of the movie theater below after losing consciousness during a screening.

Despite taking visual effects to the extreme, “Terrifier 3” was the most watched film last weekend in the North American market, ahead of blockbusters like “Joker: Madness for Two”.

By the end of its run at the box office, the production is expected to become the most successful non-age rated film ever.

“Terrifier 2” also debuted in Portugal, in 2023, in a more limited distribution and just three months after the international debut.
