Tesla has announced another recall for its futuristic Cybertruck model.
This time the problem involves a faulty inverter, which can lead to power problems, affecting the safety and performance of the vehicle. This is the sixth repair action related to Cybertruck in 2024. What makes this action special is the fact that this time it is not enough to just update the software, this repair requires physical intervention in the vehicles. Tesla is actively working with owners to resolve this issue as quickly as possible and keep users safe.
The Cybertruck is so durable, yet so flawed
One of Tesla’s most innovative and controversial models, the Cybertruck is an electric pickup truck that stands out for its futuristic, angular design. Constructed from ultra-hard, cold-rolled stainless steel, the Cybertruck is designed to be not only extremely durable, but also resistant to corrosion and damage. The vehicle offers impressive performance – the fastest version will accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds. The Cybertruck is also equipped with advanced autonomous driving features found in other Tesla models, making it one of the most technologically advanced vehicles on the market.
The vehicle also features a spacious cabin that can accommodate up to six people and a large cargo area with a durable hatch that can be used as a ramp. All of this makes the Cybertruck an attractive choice for both technology enthusiasts and those in need of a versatile and efficient utility vehicle. However, a series of recalls, including the latest involving the inverter, highlight the challenges Tesla faces with the reliability and quality of its products. The problem affects 2,431 vehicles manufactured between November 2023 and June 2024. The defective batch of inverters will be replaced under warranty.
