Tesla launches the 7-seater Model Y in Europe, it is produced in Berlin

It took several months, but finally the Tesla Model Y with the 7-seater option also arrives in Europe. It was in plain sight at the Paris Motor Show, so it was now clear that it would arrive within a few days.

The new car has no substantial differences with the one produced in America, except for Europe the Grünheide factory, near Berlin, will take care of itwhich therefore maintains its primary role of supplying the Model Y in the Old Continent.

As can already be seen in the Italian online configurator, the choice of 7 seats, with the third row with 2 additional seatsis available only for the Long Range AWD variantfor an additional price of 2.500 euroand possibly also in combination with the white seats, which in turn cost 1,200 euros.

Access to the third row is achieved by folding down the second row seats, using two buttons on the backrest, and the occupants of the last two seats will also have two USB-C sockets available to charge their devices. Obviously this option takes away the load capacity of the car, which holds 363 liters of space when all 7 seats are in use. It means that adding the 117 liter frunk the total will be a discreet 480 litres.

However, when only 5 seats are used, the capacity rises to 753 litres, compared to the 840 liters of the version with only 5 seats. The structure of the third row therefore “steals” 87 litres. The maximum usable space when all seats are folded down is 2,040 litres, compared to 2,158 for the 5-seater version. The towable mass remains 1,600 kg.

Assuming you configure the car only with the 7-seater option, the price becomes 55,475 euros turnkey, with practically immediate delivery.
