The American manufacturer is preparing a restyling for the Tesla Model Y, called Juniper. Here are the main aesthetic changes to expect.
The Tesla Model Y will be restyled in 2025, but this facelift is already making waves on the internet, particularly in China…
What to expect for the style of the future Tesla Model Y?
Launched in 2020, the Tesla Model Y has quickly become one of the most popular electric cars in the world, and should soon benefit from a mid-career restyling, called “Juniper”in order to give it an even more futuristic look.
According to the latest rumors from the Middle Kingdom, pre-production of the restyled version of the compact electric SUV has already started in the greatest secrecy on the lines of the Tesla factory in Shanghai, since the end of October 2024, but we will have to wait until the beginning of 2025 before it is officially revealed.
The first indiscretions have already emerged on the internet, including first images showing the restyled Model Y, still camouflaged. According to the first rumors, the front side will benefit from an unprecedented pencil stroke, with a light bar extending over its entire width, like the Cybertruck: enough to radically differentiate itself from the Tesla Model 3, today very close aesthetically to the SUV version.
Technological changes, too
According to the latest rumors, several improvements are also to be expected on the technological side: different sources in fact mention the arrival of a new battery with a capacity of 95 kWhwhich would offer the Model Y a better autonomy.
Currently, the Tesla Model 3 holds a real autonomy record with its 702 km, and with its new battery, the restyled Model Y could approach these interesting figures, allowing more driving between two stops at the charging station. This improvement would make the Model Y even more interesting on the electric compact SUV marketmore and more provided.
Recently, the American manufacturer expanded the Model Y catalog with the arrival of a version 7 placesmaking it possible to further appeal to large families with a third row of seats. Available only on the “High Autonomy” version, this 7-seater version requires an additional €2,500 on the bill. We should, logically, find it on the restyled version.
Meet at early 2025 to discover the new restyled Tesla Model Y.
