If everything goes according to plan, the extremely poor family of Semir Džanković from Kamešnica na Pešter will welcome autumn in their new and completely finished house, if in the meantime something gets stuck, perhaps for furniture and household appliances, which is unlikely, moving in is certain surname.

Masters work hard

This was pointed out to “Vesti” by humanitarian and our associate Hido Muratović who, after our recent appeal for help to this family, is building a house for the Džanković family with benefactors from all over the world.

Despite the incredible heat, everything is going much better than we planned, the craftsmen are not complaining and are working full steam ahead, in just a week the house was raised from the foundation to the roof, the PVC joinery was also installed, the so-called rough works are finished, the interior works are next, which are somewhat more complicated and last longer, they will be managed by the Džanković family, we are convinced that this will also go quickly, because Semir cares about his sick wife Esmeralda and their children and how much they care that they get a roof over their heads as soon as possible – says the well-known benefactor and emphasizes that will also be with the Džanković family in the future, for whatever is needed.

After an appeal in “Vesti” and on Muratović’s Ljudske sudbine portal, in just 15 days, from mid-June to the beginning of July, 33,500 euros were collected for the Džanković family. The largest amount of money was provided by an anonymous businessman from Novi Pazar who contributed 18,500 euros, which was normally needed for roofing the house and PVC joinery. Another 15,000 euros were provided by our readers and other benefactors from various parts of the world, some of whom, using their annual vacation in their hometown, personally visited the Džanković family and handed them valuable donations. In addition to their house being started, Semir, Esmeralda and their five children also received a lot of groceries, clothes, shoes, toys and school supplies. In the meantime, new donations have arrived, more than 3,000 euros, we will publish the names of some of the donors in our next text about this family.

For medicine and electricity

This is incredible, for years we didn’t even have enough for bread, we owed money for electricity, until a month ago we also borrowed for medicine, and now, thanks to “Vesti”, Hido Muratović and numerous benefactors, mostly humane Sandžakli scattered around the white world, we have a new house, admittedly only with a roof, but with a good chance of being habitable soon. May God protect all our benefactors, I simply do not know how to thank them, I am a believer, I believe in God and I hope that the Almighty will reward their kindness and all benefactors around the world – Semir Džanković points out.

A serious illness

– We simply don’t know “what hit us”, all of a sudden, a lot of beautiful things happened to us, I am happy for our children, whom we barely fed, for the house that leaked, where we were freezing and in whose repair we constantly invested, more we won’t have to invest, everything that Semir earns through hard work we will invest in our little ones – emphasizes, with immense gratitude to benefactors, Semir’s wife Esmeralda, who has been fighting a serious illness for years.

Support for Nikola

A valuable donation also arrived these days to Nikola Petronijević, a pedestrian student from the isolated village of Joše in Golija. Help of 200 dollars was sent to him by benefactors Vlada and Dragica Damjanović from faraway Australia. After losing his mother and three other family members within a year, Nikola lives with his sick father Milovan, he just finished the third grade of the high school of mechanical engineering. Our readers and other good people helped him build a house in his village and significantly improve his life.

If it weren’t for good people, my father and I would starve and we would never have a bathroom and electricity, the donation I received will help me to prepare for the fourth grade after the school holidays, my goal is to become a welding technician, if I I earn money for myself and help my sick father whom I have helped a lot until now.
