The girl at the weekly magazine reveals: “As a teenager I took half photos of myself. I stood in front of the mirror and took pictures, covering the right side of my face with the phone, the one affected by the paresis. My parents got very angry, they told me: ‘you have to take photos of yourself straight, you’re beautiful’. The truth is that the more you hide the more you accentuate the flaw”.
He suffered bullying. Camilla confesses: “At seven years old my schoolmates told me that I couldn’t play with them, that my mouth was crooked. Until that moment I didn’t know I was different, I looked at myself in the mirror and that was me. I would come home and ask my parents, ‘Why am I different?’ Those words left a mark on me.”
Despite her famous surname, Camilla carries the scars of her journey: “There is no surname that can shield suffering and painwhich can protect from what life is”. But now everything is different: “As a child I struggled to look at myself because I didn’t recognize myself. Thanks to psychotherapy work, I learned to look at mirrors, to look at myself in the mirror”. For her, beauty is “the essence of a person, the set of vibrations you transmit. I rarely stop at the external appearance”. When asked if she sees herself as beautiful, she replies: “Yes, and it makes me laugh to say it.” He has finally learned to love himself.
