that’s how many four-legged people were helped by disaster management staff in 2024

The year 2024 did not turn out too bright for several cats either, he said on his social page the BM National Directorate General of Disaster Management.

Last year, disaster management staff had to rescue cats in trouble 315 times

– they stated in the post, adding that: seventy-one times the situation was resolved before the firemen arrived (the animal broke a wheel), so the help of the firemen was not necessary after all.

The announcement revealed that in 244 places, however, firefighters were actually needed to free the livestock in trouble. On six occasions, a cat had to be rescued from a burning building, in other cases 238 pets were trapped above, fell in, or got stuck somewhere. Most of the times (63 times) a cat had to be rescued from a well, it was pointed out.

The four-legged ones were not idle last year either

The disaster management announced in the post:

  • 49 cats fell into canals, shafts, ditches, pits, and of course could not climb out,
  • 56 cats climbed a tree or an electric pole only to get stuck between the branches or simply not be able to come down,
  • 34 he tried his luck on the roof, but it was a pore,
  • 16 cats were trapped in a car, 5 during a road accident,
  • 15 cats stuck between windows and shutters, or doors and bars,
  • 6 of them looked around in the chimney, of course they couldn’t get out,
  • and 5 cats were trapped between fence slats,

– explained the authorities.
