Oppo launched its new flagship phones Find X8 and Find X8 Pro a month ago in its home country of China. The global premiere was scheduled for November, and as promised, Oppo did. Both of these innovations are heading to the world and this is the return of the Find X series to international markets after two years when Oppo sold the Find X5 model globally.
Oppo Find X8: Flags with ultimate durability
Both new products from Oppo, siblings Find X8 and X8 Pro, are very similar in terms of design, and their dominant feature is the large, circular photo module on the back. The latter includes four lenses in both cases, however, in the basic version, one is fake, since its camera is composed of three sensors, while the camera of the Pro model includes exactly four sensors.
One of the main weapons of this pair is increased resistance according to IP68/IP69 protection, which means the highest level of resistance against dust and water. The IP69 protection brings resistance to pressurized water, so you can clean the phones with a high-pressure cleaner (vap) if necessary. The frame is aluminum, the back is covered by durable glass, and the display has an optical fingerprint reader.
A decent portion of performance
Both of these innovations are powered by the Dimensity 9400 processor, i.e. the latest flagship chipset from MediaTek’s workshops, which offers similar performance to the competing Snapdragon 8 Elite. In the area of performance, there will certainly be no room for complaints, and the manufacturer has provided the Find X8 siblings with effective cooling, which will ensure stable performance even during longer gaming sessions.
The equipment is generally at a great level, the phones offer 12 or 16 GB of RAM, of course LPDDR5X type, and the internal storage can be 256 or 512 GB in size. The Find X8 model is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 5630 mAh, the Pro version received a 5910 mAh battery, and charging is the same for both phones – wired has a power of 80 W and wireless 50 W.
Smaller and bigger
The main difference between both these siblings is in the display. The basic version of the Find X8 is fitted with a panel with a diagonal of 6.59 inches, but the Pro version is slightly larger with a 6.78-inch display. Both panels are built on AMOLED technology, have a frequency of 120 Hz (the Pro model also offers LTPO technology) and their maximum brightness can reach up to 4500 nits.
Hasselblad and two periscopes go into action
The cameras of the new Find X8 and X8 Pro were tuned by the well-known company Hasselblad and they certainly look more than capable. The X8 model has a triple assembly with a resolution of 50 + 50 + 50 Mpx in a combination of the main, ultra-wide-angle and periscopic telephoto lens. Of course, OIS (on the main camera and telephoto lens), laser focus and Hasselblad modes are not missing.
The periscopic telephoto lens offers 3x optical zoom, but the Pro version also has one more telephoto lens with a periscopic design, which again has a resolution of 50 Mpx and offers 6x optical zoom. So the lineup looks more than capable. The selfie camera is the same in both cases, offering a resolution of 32 Mpx and handling 4K videos.

The Oppo Find X8 and X8 Pro flagships will go on sale in international markets on November 27, and we’ll see if they head to the Czech Republic as well. But it will definitely show up in Europe, and its arrival has been confirmed, among other things, in Great Britain.
