The 13th Vimart, a benchmark for wine fairs to enjoy with the five senses

Thousands of people passed this Saturday through the 13th Vimart as part of the Rose Festival. From 6:00 p.m. until 1:00 a.m., Plaça de l’Església and its surroundings hosted the Martorell Wine Fair, which is already a benchmark in the sector. A total of 17 wineries and distributors of wines and cavas, and eight gastronomic stalls have offered a wide tasting of food and drink for the enjoyment of the attendees.

The Vimart was held in Plaça de l’Església, the fossar, Carrer de Francesc Santacana and Carrer de l’Aigua. The invited wineries have been Ramon Canals; The Wine Truck; Finca Parera; Covids; Cercavins; nature Cal Garrigosa; Caves Duran Galan; Sisqueda; The Olive tree; Apiaria; Can Canals; The Bubble; Here; Celler Ca l’Esteve; Mas dels Clavers and Intrepid Wines.

Esteve Casals from Celler Can Casals de Sant Esteve Sesrovires explained that their products are “DO Penedès and organic”. At the Vimart they have brought “fruity wines, white muscats, chardonnay, and red wines cabernet sauvignon and hare’s eye, as well as sparkling, cava and ancestral”. Casals has stated that they are one of the “oldest Vimart” wineries and that the Fair is “the best in the region”.

“We’ve been here every year since the first Vimart”, said Antoni Passarell of the Old Cercavins. “The winery is from Verdú, but we are from Martorell and we always like to find friends and acquaintances who come to taste our wines.” “Above all, young, white and fresh wines, to drink on a day like today.”

Jordi Bartés of Restaurant Aqqua has offered “part of our cuisine, such as fideuà, black rice, faixeta with half meat, hot dog, hamburgers, pickled caçó or cannelloni with mushrooms, to complete the Vimart”. They always think of “one-bite or easy-to-eat dishes to be able to stand up and have a drink in hand”.

This year, in Plaça del Portal d’Anoia, a large ticket sales point has been set up with several options available: Gourmet (three drinks of wine, three gastronomic tastings and a glass at the price of 15 euros) , Winemaker (three drinks of wine, 6 euros); Gastronomic (three tastings of food at 8 euros), that of a wine consumption (2.5 euros), a gastronomic consumption (3 euros) and the option to buy a glass of wine, at the price of 3 euros. Tickets could also be bought online at the website entredes.martorell.cat.

In addition to good food and drink, good music was also enjoyed. The Vimart Musical took place in the gardens of l’Enrajolada, from 19.00 until 23.00. Músix, Combo Jorge Molina, Maria Esteban Trio and Alberto Lozano have performed there.

At 10:00 p.m., it was the turn of the Opera on the Balcony of Casa Palet, organized by Joventuts Musicals de Martorell. A taste of opera arias with soprano Sabrina Gardez and baritone Gabriel Mas.

At the same time, the Casa de Cultura de la Villa has housed the Flaix Urban Deluxwith Flaix FM’s live radio program, where urban and Latin rhythms have a prominent place.

To round off the night, in the Vapor car park, meet the Banda Neon and their repertoire full of iconic intergenerational anthems and the most current musical trends, accompanied by a special narrative and a show of lights and spectacular visual effects. Next, Festa Flaix FM with the participation of Miquel González, Tomás Poal and Héctor Ortega.
