Like any self-respecting Marvel movie, Deadpool & Wolverine is full of all kinds of easter eggs. Whether it’s the direction of 20th Century Fox, Marvel or pop culture in general, Shawn Levy’s film is full of references and winks. So here are the 20 best Deadpool & Wolverine easter eggs for you. This article obviously contains SPOILERS:
Wolverine’s Skeleton
We didn’t think the film would open in the universe of Logan. The feature film begins with Wade Wilson desecrating Wolverine’s grave. The one in which the famous mutant is buried at the end of Logan precisely. A sequence of follows A really gory fight with TVA agents and Logan’s remains.
Gossip Girl
During this same sequence, Deadpool makes a reference to Gossip Girl. He explains that “There are 206 bones in the human body, 207 if I watch Gossip Girl”. An obvious reference to Blake Lively, la femme de Ryan Reynolds in real life, who played in Gossip Girl. For the youngest of our readers, we won’t explain the joke…
Earth-10005
If we know that the MCU takes place on the Terre-616we didn’t really know on which Earth the license took place X-Men. Deadpool & Wolverine finally comes to answer this question and therefore confirms that Deadpool and the other mutants were living on Earth-10005.
Adamantium katanas
Adamantium also officially makes its entrance into the MCU. The strongest metal in the Marvel Universe, which covers Wolverine’s skeleton, is finally making its way into the MCU thanks to the Deadpool’s Katanas. It is rumored that Adamantium will play an important role in Captain America : Brave New World.
Wolverine Variants
While Deadpool is looking for a Logan To help him in his quest to save his universe, he travels the multiverse and crosses paths with many variants of Wolverine, Old Man Logan has Patch Passing by Weapon X, to obviously end on the the character’s iconic yellow costume. The class !
The tribute to the MCU
At the beginning of the film, Wade uses Cable’s technology to travel through time and the multiverse. We find him in 2018 facing Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau). A somewhat gratuitous sequence but which nevertheless allows us to offer a homage to the early days of the MCU with plans on the Headphones Iron Man and Cap’s shield.
Le comics Secret Wars
We had already seen it in the trailer. But when Deadpool arrives in the Vortex, in the Void, we can see a comic Secret Wars next to him. A simple way to tease the next Avengers, which should adapt the eponymous comic book by Brian M Bendis.
References in the Void
In addition to this comic, you can see a lot of cult objects in the Void. The very desert-like aesthetic of the Void inevitably refers to the universe of Mad Max. Wade even enjoys citing the recent Angry by George Miller when Wolverine cuts off Sabretooth’s head.
Alioth
The powerful creature Alioth, already present in both seasons of Loki, makes his comeback in Deadpool & Wolverine. A direct reference to the series led by Tom Hiddleston.
The Greatest Showman
When Deadpool et Wolverine fight in the car, Logan smashes Wade’s face repeatedly into the car stereo. The music changes with each crash. One of the tracks that comes on the radio is a small piece of one of Wade’s cult songs. The Greatest Showmana musical comedy led by Hugh Jackman.
RIP these heroes
Deadpool & Wolverine features an impressive number of characters, which we listed in another article. But the film also quotes a lot of them. Charles Xavier, Magneto, Daredevil, Punisher, Beast, Storm, Scottthey are all mentioned in the film and all seem to be dead. A way for Disney to remind us that the Fox is over!
Dr Strange’s Ring
To escape from the Void, Deadpool & Wolverine go through a Dr. Strange portal. Indeed, Cassandra Nova is in possession of a ring from Dr. Strange to create portals. She explains to the two heroes that she killed an amateur magician to get hold of this ring. It is difficult to know if she was talking about Strange, by Wong, or even by Ned Leedswho have all had this kind of ring in their hands.

Lady Deadpool, Headpool, Kidpool, Dogpool, Cowboy Deadpool, Roninpool, King Deadpoolthey are all there in Deadpool & Wolverine. The Deadpool Corps is definitely in the game!
The Rob Liefeld reference
We had already noticed it in the trailer, but Deadpool & Wolverine don’t forget to pay tribute to the creator of the character by offering a small reference to Rob Liefeld.
Stan lee
Even if Stan Lee died in 2018his influence is still very present in Marvel films and comics. It is therefore in this logic of heritage that Stan the Man appears on an advertisement on the side of a bus when Deadpool and Wolverine face the Deadpool Corps.
Shawarma
Like at the end of the first Avengers, Deadpool and Wolverine decide to go eat a Shawarma once the fight against Cassandra Nova is over. Deadpool even adds that “The Avengers created Shawarma.”
Ant-Man Cake
At the very beginning of the film, when Wade celebrates his birthday, he blows out the candles of a blue and white cake which seems to be the same as the one at the end of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
Deadpool imite Spider-Man
When Deadpool and Wolverine go for a drive, Wade can’t help but imitate Spider-Man. The opportunity to remember that this time it’s the right one. Deadpool is definitely part of the MCU!
All these Disney references
There are even a few too many. But Deadpool can’t help but make all sorts of references to Disney, which bought Fox. The best example is probably when he talks about coke with his blind roommate.
