The 365th Foundation is opening the grant program Idea for a Better Today for the first time, which seamlessly follows on from the previous project Idea for 3 Generations. Tens of thousands of euros will support community projects that contribute to the improvement of life in the regions and bring positive change in the fields of volunteering, ecology, art and culture, health, education, sports and innovation. Thanks to the grant program Idea for 3 generations, over the past eight years, a total of 151 unique ideas across the whole of Slovakia have been implemented, which were supported by a total of 249,000 euros.
The dynamically changing world around us offers a large number of interesting opportunities practically every day, how people can make their lives more beautiful. Creativity, innovativeness and engagement are just a few of the prerequisites for their activities to fall on fertile ground. 365.nadácia, as the foundation of the bank, for today’s people, has long been emphasizing the importance and need of creating opportunities to move Slovakia forward.
Through of the Idea for a Better Today grant program will support ideas that enable people of all ages to socialize and contribute to positive change. “We want all of us to live better today. Here and now. The Idea for a Better Today grant helps strengthen relationships between people, sharing opinions and values that move us forward by contributing to the development of regions and community life, making our today better. We will be happy to support innovative and original projects that will improve the lives of people in their community, village or city,” says Hana Tarabová, administrator of the 365th Foundation.
A chance for everyone
Anyone who is interested can apply for a grant to support the implementation of their idea this year. In addition to non-profit organizations, schools, kindergartens, leisure centers, and municipalities, active people today who are interested in improving life around them can also participate in the grant. It is enough to have a good idea, taste and enthusiasm, while the only condition is that one entity can send only one project for a grant.
Funds will be provided for the implementation of projects that are original, sustainable and meaningful for the community – spaces for meeting and getting to know each other, or the organization of festivals, workshops and events that will create an opportunity for the development, discovery and presentation of talent and skills, or various educational programs for children and the like. “More than 150 projects that we have supported in recent years have helped people all over Slovakia gain new knowledge, experience and skills, contributed to the revitalization of cultural monuments or the preservation of traditions or protection of natural values. We are happy that thanks to our support, beautiful things with added value are born,” adds Hana Tarabová.
Projects in the field of education, sports, culture, healthcare, social assistance, active spending of free time or improvement of public space or the environment must be registered at grant page do November 11, 2024. The evaluation committee will then select the best projects, which it can support with an amount of up to 4,000 Euros. However, supported projects have the opportunity to receive something extra.
From 4.12. until 12.12. will be on the site www.lepsidnesok.sk public voting for the TOP project among the supported ones. The winner of the vote will receive an extraordinary bonus of 1,000 Euros for an even better implementation of the project.
Ninth year of assistance
During the past eight years, Poštová banka through the 365th Foundation has already supported 151 projects from various corners of Slovakia in the amount of 249,000 euros thanks to the Idea for 3 Generations program. Most recently, it distributed grant money to 22 projects that received funds for the implementation of a wide variety of ideas – from the revitalization and cultivation of public spaces, through sports and cultural activities connecting all generations, support of traditional crafts and folklore, health care, nature conservation and sustainability, to inclusion of healthy and disabled people.
