The 40 Spanish chefs who are among the best in the world

Los Best Chef Awards held this week have made clear the change of direction that the gala that recognizes the best chefs from around the world has taken. Dabiz Muñoz He had emerged as the best chef in the world in the three previous editions, but his reign—at least for the moment—has come to an end. And this is the official ranking of the Best Chef Awards after they have established a new reward system in which there is no longer a ranking beyond the podium. Now everything is organized in three levels of knives with which they have recognized 550 chefs from 61 countries.

New recognition system

What is the new categorization like? Those who have three knives They are the chefs who have achieved 80% or more of the points, the gastronomic elite. For their part, those who are recognized with two knives They are chefs who have managed to reach 40% of the points and who have global influence. Finally, those who have received a knife They have achieved 20% of the points and highlight their contribution to the kitchen.

The intention of this new system is that Recognition does not only fall on the most famous chefs, but also with those who have an impact on their territories and who make gastronomy grow from different parts of the world.
