The 5-cylinder Audi engine says goodbye to these models

We hear little about Donkervoort. The Dutch niche brand was founded in 1978 and has been producing a replica of the Lotus Seven since the beginning. In 2011 it launched the D8 GTO, a bespoke car based on the turbocharged a 2.5 liter five-cylinder at Audi.

This engine transformed an already fast Donkervoort into a supercar that sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds, reaching a top speed of 270 km/h.

Initially, the D8 GTO it delivered 280 kW of power and at the end of 2022 the F22 arrived, with the same engine and a power of 500 HP. While all the owners of F22 have finalized their specifications, the last five Donkervoort powered Audis appear on the scene.

Two butterfly doors

The F22 Final Five It’s a two-seater butterfly door coupe/cabriolet with removable carbon fiber Twin Targa roof panels with strut bar. It is 4.03 m long, 1.91 m wide and 1105 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2.42 m; the trunk instead offers 298 litres.

Lighter than the F22 (pesa 712 kg vs 750 kg) has, as anticipated, even more captivating performance, kept at bay by ultra-light carbon-ceramic disc brakes (brake balance adjustment is an optional).
