Elijah Wood still remembers The Lord of the Rings fondly.
Many old Lord of the Rings stars have announced that they want to return to their roles for Andy Serkis’ upcoming The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum.
Elijah Wood, who played Frodo, has left Middle-earth behind for good, but the actor is still excited about Warner Bros.’s new project.
“I am naturally a fan of the film’s creative team. I have a bond with them because the same team made the Lord of the Rings movies,” Wood stated Inverses in an interview recently.
“Bringing Klonku back and Andy Serkis directing… There couldn’t be a better director for that movie than the person who created Klonku and knows the character inside out. This feels like the old band getting back together in a really cool way to make a unique movie.”
Yesterday we told you that in addition to The Hunt for Gollum scheduled for 2026, there is also another Lord of the Rings movie in the works. However, the Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim will arrive in theaters first, which will premiere in Finland on December 13.
Klonkku is not the only one – there are two new Lord of the Rings movies in the works
