“Alien” is one of those brands in the world of pop culture that has been stirring up a lot of emotions and… sympathy for decades. The cult sci-fi films have captivated many generations and there’s no denying that many of us return to them with pleasure. So when we found out that someone would dare to create films in that universe – expectations were immediately huge. The project is slowly being created in the background, and in the meantime its creators are reporting on the progress and… revealing for the first time what it will be titled!

Expectations related to the project are huge, but information about it is coming to us quite slowly. As we know, the creator of the beloved “Fargo”, Noah Hawley, is responsible for the project. This raises the bar related to expectations even higher – as if the brand itself and the fact that everything is created not on behalf of the FX station (including “The Bear”, “What We Do in the Shadows”) were not enough. As we know, the project itself has had many delays related to implementation, but filming for the first season has finally been completed.
“We just wrapped production, so now we’re going into post-production — a long period of time that’s going to focus on getting the visuals right. It’s a very big show. It’s nice to have a lot of time to finish it. In the first year of a project, you want to feel like you’re not against a wall, time-wise. I’ve seen four of the eight hours of director’s cuts and I’ve gotten involved in the process of figuring out what the show is going to be. That’s one of my favorite parts of making a show,” Hawley told the outlet. Variety
One can only imagine that it will be a long time before we actually see the series on screens, because the post-production process itself may take a long time. Especially if the creators turn out to be perfectionists. FX representatives also say directly that they have huge expectations related to “Alien: Earth” and would like to see at least two seasons. And let’s remember that this story is to be a prequel to the first film – so everything must be properly planned and set in the timeline at this stage.
It is certain that the expectations related to “Alien: Earth” are huge. And the wait for the series itself drags on forever. Let’s hope that we won’t have to wait longer than next year for the final effect…
