The American Chamber of Commerce’s annual educational program AmChamps is celebrating a decade of success

10 years of dedication and building bridges between young talents and the business community

A unique educational program AmChamps implemented by the American Chamber of Commerce in Serbia (AmCham), for 10 years already a response to the need to strengthen the capacities of young talents and develop competencies that are necessary in the modern business environment.

During 10 years of development AmChamps the program went through various challenges and today we can proudly say that it has passed through various activities in total 478 participants239 managers from 138 companies and 239 students with 32 faculties from 4 cities (Belgrade, Niš, Kragujevac and Novi Sad).

That community is the driving force behind our program, and the reason why AmChamps is getting stronger and more successful every year. This program is proof that success is not measured solely by individual achievements, but by collective efforts. Each participant contributed not only to the development of the program, but also to the creation of something that goes beyond professional development – inspiration, solidarity and a willingness to support young people on their journey. Our goal is to lay the foundations for what lies ahead. We have a challenge ahead of us – to create the next ten years of success, and we believe that, with joint effort, we will make the next decade even more successful,” he said. This educational program continues to be implemented and from January 2025 it opens a new cycle for the most promising students in their final years of college and young managers of companies that are members of the American Chamber of Commerce. The next cycle will be enriched with some novelties, such as a focus on familiarization with advanced technologies.

More about the AmChamps program

The AmChamps program is unique in its concept because it gathers participants from different sectors and areas of business, different educational profiles, different generations and experiences under the umbrella of AmCham, including social and natural sciences. The program brings together CEOs as lecturers, young managers as mentors, and students as mentees, giving them the opportunity to learn from each other.

After completing the program, most students are employed in AmCham member companies, which means that the program significantly contributes to their professional development. Many mentors have hired their mentees in their own companies after completing the program. These successful examples show how AmChamps builds lasting connections between young talents and experienced leaders. Three young managers, who were participants of the AmChamps program, are today general directors of large companies.
