NEW YORK – The American investment fund Blackrock and the technology giant Microsoft are planning a joint fund of 30 billion dollars for the development of artificial intelligence (AI).

According to the Financial Times, Blackrock and Microsoft will cooperate with the investment company Em-G-X (MGX) supported by Abu Dhabi on this project.

The Blackrock fund will focus on building data centers and financing energy infrastructure to support AI, TechCrunch reports.

Experts from the Californian company Nvidia, known for the production of the most advanced semiconductors, will also contribute their expertise in the development of the entire project.

Data centers are being built at an ever-increasing rate around the world, and the chief financial officer of Australian mining giant BHP (BHP) Vandita Pant recently told the FT that due to this trend, global demand for copper will increase by 72 percent by 2050. , reports Tanjug.
