“The Art of the V12” awaits you at Auto e Moto d’Epoca 2024

If the ideal garage for every motor enthusiast (V12 or otherwise) could have a shape and an address, for this 2024 I would say that an excellent candidate would be the Motor1.com and Motorsport.com stand at Vintage Motorcycle Car 2024at the Bologna Fair.

In fact, between 24 and 27 October, in pavilion 31 dedicated to the Motor Valley, the best of the “Land of Motors” will be exhibited at our stand with the common denominator being “THE ART OF THE V12” and amazing cars such as: Maserati MC12 Versione Corse, Bugatti EB110, Lamborghini LM002, Pagani Zonda S 7.0, Dallara F192 F1 and Ferrari F312B F1 protagonist of the famous docu-film. There will also be a W12that of the Bentley Continental GT, but this is another story that I will tell you soon in “Why Buy it Classic”. But it didn’t end here.

Motorsport.com Italia in pole-position

At our stand you will also see one Ducati 851 Superbike. No, we weren’t wrong. The Borgo Panigale manufacturer certainly couldn’t miss the stand dedicated to the best of the Motor Valley and the “851” was not chosen by chance.

On the thirty-year anniversary of the passing of Ayrton Sennahis favorite motorbike accompanies the words of Franco Nugnes, Director of Motorsport.com Italy and author of the wonderful volume – “Senna. The truths” – dedicated to the Brazilian champion, who tragically passed away in Imola in that terrible 1994 GP.

Anecdotes and memories will then be enriched in a very personal and genuine way also by the presence of Senna’s friend, Angelo Orsi (Saturday 26th), while Giorgio Ascanelli will share the stage with Nugnes on Sunday 27th October. The timetable details in the program below.

V12 (and W12) dream

Okay, the Bentley Continental GT is not a V12, but a W12, but since it is also the space dedicated to the “Classic” of Motor1.com, I thought I would offer a preview of the next “Why Buy it Classic” which you will soon find on our channel YouTube.

So, “W the 12 cylinder, always, even when it’s a V6x2”. But now let’s move on to the V12s at Auto e Moto d’Epoca 2024 and here ladies and gentlemen, you need to make yourself comfortable. Ready?

The Maserati MC12 Versione Corse is the racing version of the Maserati MC12 (12-cylinder Maserati Corse), which debuted in 2004 at the Imola 500 km. Compared to the GT1 “Short Nose” from which it derives, the “Corse Version” brings with it various technical and equipment changes.

In “Blu Victory” color, the MC12 Versione Corse was produced in 3 prototypes + 12 units. Franco Nugnes and Giorgio Ascanelli will talk about these incredible cars, a true synthesis of the Motor Valley (thanks to the collaboration with Ferrari and Dallara), on Sunday 27 October.

Maserati MC12 Racing Version

The Bugatti EB110 takes its name from the 110th anniversary of the birth of Ettore Bugatti (born 15 September 1881). Designed by Bugatti Automobili of Campogalliano (MO), at the time owned by the Mantuan entrepreneur Romano Artioli, thanks also to Paolo Stanzani, it anticipated the concept of the “hypercar” with its quad-turbo V12 engine, highly technological for the time.

I will talk about her at our stand on Sunday 27 October, together with those who saw this hypercar born and grow, Federico Canovi and Daniele Golinelli.

Produced in 301 examples, it is the first high-performance “off-road” from the Sant’Agata Bolognese company. Capable of tackling slopes of up to 120%, despite the bodywork made of aluminum and fibreglass, its overall mass well exceeds 2.6 tonnes.

Thanks to its V12, with its almost 220 km/h top speed, for many years the LM002 was the fastest mass-produced off-road vehicle in the world, both on asphalt… and on desert sands! His V12 will also be the protagonist of the speech by our Giuliano Daniele who will be in the company of Matteo Ortenzi, Head of the Revuelto Production Line.

Produced in 140 examples, the Pagani Zonda S 7.0 is the first hypercar from Horacio Pagani’s Atelier, namely Pagani Automobili of San Cesario sul Panaro (MO), founded in 1991.

Under the rear bonnet, in a central position, is the V12 Mercedes-AMG M120, in the 7.0 liter version in the case of the Zonda S exhibited at our stand, the same car that will be under the spotlight of the chat which, together to Kevin Conti, will take place on Saturday 26 October when we will delve deeper into the meaning of “Renaissance” according to Horacio Pagani.

Designed by engineer Gianpaolo Dallara, the Dallara F192 F1 participated in the 1992 F1 World Championship, driven by JJ Lehto and Perluigi Martini. With her, the BMS Scuderia Italia team becomes the second team in the history of F1 to use a Ferrari engine… V12 obviously!

Last, but certainly not least, one of the famous F1 cars on the big and small screen. Designed by engineer Mauro Forghieri, technical director of Scuderia Ferrari from 1962 to 1971 and from 1973 to 1987, the F312B F1 competed in the 1970-71 season, driven by some famous drivers such as Jacky Ickx, Clay Regazzoni and Mario Andretti.

It is powered by the legendary 180° V-12 (“Boxer”): for some this is where the “B” in the model name comes from… while for others the “B” refers to the “Double Shaft”.
