The Barcelona Provincial Council rewards local communication

This Wednesday, journalist Julia Otero received the communication honor award from the Barcelona Provincial Council for her professional career in the world of communication, and especially in the radio field. A career that began at the age of 17 at Ràdio Sabadell, and that has been defined to carry out “honest and responsible journalism, and to be a clear and determined voice in defense of information transparency and journalistic rigor,” according to the jury.

In her speech, the winner highlighted that “Barcelona has done a lot for me. Everything I am is related to this city. And I have also done something for this city. I have given him absolute loyalty and unwavering stubbornness that has made me reject many jobs in Madrid.”

It was the president of the Provincial Council, Lluïsa Moret, who presented the award to Otero, recognizing that “he has become a reference for the profession.”
