Epic and Apple have been in a relationship for a long time

Apple and Epic Games are in dispute mainly over the App Store. Of course, it is a huge source of income for Apple, but the fees for transactions made in it are very high (30%). That’s why Epic equipped its hit Fortnite with its own payment gateway to bypass this fee, and of course it didn’t go down well Apple. And the fire was on the roof.

Fortnite is coming back to iOS

Apple reacted to this move very forcefully and Fortnite removed from your app store. Then, of course, the lawyers of both giants got involved and a long court case arose. You can play Fortnite on Android, but you have to download it through the game’s official website, in the application store Google Play you won’t find him either.

Unfortunately, on iOS there are no such options and there is no installation of anything outside the official store. That is how it was in the past. Recently, the new European law on digital markets, known by the abbreviation DMA, came into play and among other things, it orders Apple to allow the installation of applications in Europe even outside the official store. So Fortnite is back in the game.
