ASUS Zenbook S 14
ASUS Zenbook S 14 combines an ultra-slim, durable design with powerful AI-based performance, featuring an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor and a 14-inch 3K OLED display. With up to 27 hours of battery life, advanced cooling and fast AI computing, it offers a seamless balance of productivity and style.
Lenovo
ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 και Yoga Slim 7i (2024)
The Aura Edition is a new series of notebooks jointly developed between Intel and Lenovo and is incorporated into the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 and Yoga Slim 7i (2024).
First of all, we have four smart functions.
Attention mode allows you to do things like block websites for a period of time. If you have a habit of distracting yourself and checking Facebook or Instagram, you can avoid doing this.
Wellness features will monitor you and tell you to correct your posture.
The shield feature is pretty neat. It can alert you when someone is looking over your shoulder and blurring your screen, and it can automatically connect to a VPN. This feature did not work in the demo as the drivers were not ready.
Finally, there is the collaboration mode, which has features similar to Windows Studio Effects. It can blur your background and such.
Both include Core Ultra Series 2, which Intel previously referred to as Lunar Lake. These are the chips that are meant to beat Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite in both performance and battery life, and they also feature an NPU that will support Copilot+.
ThinkBook 16, IdeaPad 5x 2-σε-1 και IdeaPad Slim 5x
The ThinkBook 16 Gen 7 is aimed at professional users. It’s a 16-inch business laptop that supports Copilot+ and starts at $749, which is pretty much the lowest price for a laptop with these features.
The IdeaPad Slim 5x and 5x 2-in-1 are aimed at consumers. They feature a metal frame, 14-inch OLED screens, and more. The IdeaPad 5x 2-in-1 will start at $849, and since it supports Copilot+, that also means you get at least 16GB of RAM.
ThinkPad T14s, ThinkBook 16+ και IdeaPad Slim 5
More variants of ThinkBook 16 and IdeaPad Slim 5 were introduced with AMD Ryzen AI 300 processor. Also, ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 is already in the market with Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite X1E-78-100 and now comes the AMD variant. There’s also an Intel Core Ultra Series 2 model coming. ThinkPad T14s AMD starts at $1,699 and supports Copilot+.
Intel
Core Ultra 200V
Intel made a major announcement with the release of its latest processor, the Intel Core Ultra 200V, based on the Lunar Lake architecture. This new chip marks a pivotal advance for the tech giant as it promises not only improved performance but also vastly superior power efficiency, addressing a key industry trend.
Intel has doubled the number of CPU cores and cache memory, a move designed to improve both processing power and efficiency.
A key feature of the Lunar Lake architecture is the integration of RAM directly into the processor. This design significantly reduces the energy required to transfer data between the CPU and RAM, contributing to the overall power efficiency of the chip. Intel claims that this architectural change allows the Core Ultra 200V to achieve power efficiency levels comparable to Qualcomm, a company traditionally known for its energy-efficient mobile processors.
Beyond the CPU, Intel has made significant strides in improving the GPU (graphics processing unit) and NPU (neural processing unit). The company reports a 58% improvement in AI performance compared to the previous generation, underscoring the growing importance of AI processing in modern computing tasks.
Furthermore, the GPU’s gaming performance is strong enough to compete with top alternatives, which could make the Core Ultra 200V an attractive choice for casual gamers and content creators.
MSI
MSI unveiled its new laptops with the latest Intel Core Ultra (Series 2) processors and AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series processors, combined with NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics, aiming to deliver enhanced AI computing power across a range of models.
The company introduced the Claw 8 AI+ Windows 11 gaming laptop, which is also powered by Intel Core Ultra (Series 2) processors. The portable device features an 8-inch display designed for a smoother and more expansive laptop gaming experience.
Among the new releases, MSI unveiled the Prestige and Summit series as leaders in the AI+ business and productivity notebook category. These models feature Intel Core Ultra (Series 2) processors, offering up to three times more TOPS compared to their predecessors.
The Prestige series comes with laptops in 13-, 14- and 16-inch sizes. They feature ultra-lightweight bodies, larger batteries, longer battery life, and upgraded 5-megapixel web cameras. The entire Prestige series can deliver up to 20 hours of battery life in video playback and office productivity scenarios. Summit 13 AI+ Evo, another flagship of the business and productivity series, incorporates Intel Core Ultra (Series 2) processors, a lightweight chassis, comprehensive security features and the MSI Pen 2 stylus.
MSI also addresses the gaming and creative segments with the Stealth A16 AI+ and Creator A16 AI+ laptops featuring AMD Ryzen AI processors. These models offer 2.8 times more TOPS than their predecessors and are equipped with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series graphics, housed in a thin and light magnesium-aluminum alloy frame. The Summit and Prestige series models with AMD Ryzen AI processors are also complemented with exclusive AI-based software such as MSI AI Engine and MSI AI Noise Cancellation Pro.
An additional major announcement was the introduction of the Venture Series laptops, available in 14-, 15.6-, 16- and 17-inch sizes. These models are equipped with Intel Core Ultra (Series 2) processors and feature 16:10 OLED displays with 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. The Venture series focuses on extended battery life supported by 100W USB-C Power Delivery charging, aimed at supporting productivity for professionals.
