The best photo in the history of the Olympics? Shot of surfer defying gravity is an internet hit – Paris 2024 Olympics – Summer Olympics

Looking at it, they claim that it is an edited shot. Others say it’s the best photo ever taken at the Olympics. Levitating surfer Gabriel Medina became famous overnight thanks to a shot by French photographer Jerome Brouillet.

“Several circumstances must come together, from weather, waves, through light. Of course, you have to be in the right place at the right time and know how to use the camera, in which case you can get a great shot,” says Brouillet, quoted by the famous Time magazine.

Together with other photographers, he watches the surfers’ race at the Olympic Games in Paris from the boat.

In addition, the breathtaking photo was created during a great wave, which earned Medina a record mark of 9.90.

At the same time, the Brazilian is the biggest favorite to win the gold medal.

When the wave carried him into the air, he raised his hand and with the surfboard attached, he held himself upright above the surface, thanks to which a perfect shot was created.

It looks incredible. The well-known sports portal of the station Sky Sports shared a photo on the social network Twitter with the description: “A shot of the Olympics 2024?”
