The BMW Skytop goes into limited production

Last May and during this year’s Concorso d’Eleganza held at the Villa d’Este in Como, Italy, BMW unveiled the Skytop Concept, and today the premium German company announced that it will go into limited production of just 50 cars. .

However, although its price is not announced, but – according to the company – is “hot”, everything has already found the garage in which it will be kept. It is rumored to be priced higher than the 2022 3.0 CSL, which also came in a limited run of 50 cars and was priced at €750,000.

Mechanically, under the hood is BMW’s most powerful V8 engine – the same 4.4-liter twin-turbo engine you’ll find in top-of-the-range M models like the M8 Competition, with 625 horsepower. This is combined with an eight-speed Steptronic automatic transmission, which transfers the drive to all wheels via the xDrive system. For 0-100 km/h, the Skytop needs 3.3 seconds.
