The Bowls, ‘Mirrorball Pick’ July Artist :: Sympathetic Media Newsis ::

(Seoul = Newsis) Reporter Jaehoon Lee = Psychedelic rock band ‘The Bowls’ was selected as the July artist for ‘MIRRORBALL P!CK’.

According to Mirrorball Music on the 17th, The Bowls will perform at the Hongdae Jebidabang stage at 8 PM on the 24th to commemorate their selection for this project.

The Bowls is a 10-year-old band consisting of Seo Geon-ho (guitar/vocals), Park Jun-seong (guitar), Yoon Hyeon-seop (bass, trumpet), Lee Seol (drums), and Lim Seong-hyeon (keyboard). They were nominated for the Best Rock Song category at the ‘Korean Popular Music Awards’ for their first full-length album.

They gained attention by remaking the hit song ‘Heartbeat’ by French soul-pop band ‘Tahiti 80’ and having Tahiti 80’s bassist Pedro Resend participate in producing their third regular album ‘Blast From The Past’. Resend also participated in the production of their recently released single ‘Knock’.

In Korea, YB’s Yoon Do-hyun and pop music critic Kim Yoon-ha gave favorable reviews.

Mirrorball Pick is a project planned by Mirrorball Music, the largest indie music distributor in Korea, to promote the indie music industry and the Mecca of Hongdae performances, Jebidabang. Held every third week of the month, Mirrorball Pick is open to anyone without ticket reservation.
