MUSIC – A great first. The third edition of Flammes, trophies of rap and its musical trends, will be accessible to the general public for the first time at La Seine Musicale, near Paris, on May 13, 2025.
This decision responds to “strong demand” fans and “reflects the desire for inclusiveness of the event”explained the organization in a press release published Monday, November 25. While a pre-sale system is organized for Spotify subscribers this Tuesday, the official ticket office must open this Wednesday from 2 p.m.
The third edition will be held on May 13 in a new location: after two years at the Théâtre du Châtelet, in Paris, the ceremony is moving to La Seine Musicale, in Boulogne-Billancourt. She will find there “a larger space, in harmony with its growth and influence”the organization said.
Who to succeed Aya Nakamura?
The room will be shared between professionals in the music industry and the public, with places reserved for youth and the associative sector. “It’s an accomplishment. I’m sure it will give more energy to the show.”declared Amadou Ba, co-founder of the media Position-P and co-producer of Les Flammes alongside Yard, a media and communications agency. The lack of rhythm, but also technical hiccups, gave rise to criticism last year.
Born in reaction to the Victoires de la Musique, which has long snubbed the hip-hop sphere, Les Flammes have crowned Aya Nakamura female artist and Gazo male artist in 2024. The nominations and winners result from the aggregate of the public vote and the jury vote, for the vast majority of trophies awarded.
The event, with which the leader in music streaming Spotify is associated, is also broadcast on the YouTube and Twitch platforms.
On the other hand, this new edition should be somewhat eclipsed in the media since it will be held on the same day as another major ceremony, namely… the opening evening of the 78th edition of the Cannes Film Festival.
