On January 4, the 31st Läänemaa People’s League in basketball took place in the Haapsalu Sports Hall, which is still led by Enn Kerge. There were a total of 6 teams, which were divided into two subgroups.
In subgroup A, Tehnikatark/Nõva and Mägari were clearly stronger, who beat Sportikoolis 31:19 and 33:16, respectively. The game between them was hot and thanks to Jürgen Proosvälja’s three-pointer, the game went to overtime, from which Nõva emerged as the winner 20:17, securing first place in the subgroup.
