Chinese automaker GAC has unveiled the European version of its electric hypercar, the Aion Hyper SSR, which is just about to hit the market.
With a new model that will cost around 200,000 euros, GAC announces the end of Lamborghini and Ferrari’s ‘monopoly on the hypercar market’.
The production model comes with rear-wheel drive and 1,242 hp (913 kW), which GAC claims can reach 100 km/h in 1.9 seconds. Car News China reports that the SSR has a top speed of 250 km/h and can travel 506 km with a full 75 kWh battery.
In keeping with zero emissions, GAC claims the Hyper SSR’s interior is made from sustainable materials and contains no animal products. The interior features a hexagonal steering wheel, extremely light seats and plenty of digital technology.
The digital instruments have a diagonal of 8.8 inches, and the touch screen is larger at 14.6 inches.
The abbreviation of the Chinese hypercar SSR stands for Super, Sport, Race.
