In previous years, the market closed immediately after Epiphany. For example, in 2023, the Christmas market was officially opened on December 1 and continued to operate until January 6, 2024. The market was open every day from 11:00 to 22:00.
“The change in timing of the Christmas market was influenced by the number of visitors,” says Kesklinna elder Sander Andla (Reform Party). “According to the experience of past years, local residents also go to the Christmas market mainly before Christmas,” he explained.
According to Andla, the market will operate on Town Hall Square until December 27, but then the square will continue to be decorated with a Christmas tree.
