The collaboration between Haas and Ferrari is expanding, but it is being sought with Toyota

The Haas team announced today that it is extending its Formula 1 technical partnership with Ferrari until the end of the 2028 season, while announcing that it is continuing discussions with Toyota about potential partnership opportunities.

The American company has had a long-standing customer relationship with Ferrari, with the Italian firm supplying them with engines, gearboxes and similar parts, as well as using its wind tunnel and simulators in Maranello, since it entered F1 in 2016.

The new agreement includes the same elements as before, as Haas continues to work as closely as possible with Ferrari on all aspects of its car, engine and operations.

Speaking on the matter, Haas team principal Ayao Komatsu said:

I am delighted that we are extending our relationship with Scuderia Ferrari until 2028. As an organization we have only raced with Ferrari power units and having this continued stability in the next set of power unit regulations is a key part of our continued development.

The relationship with Scuderia Ferrari has always been special for us – they were instrumental in the genesis of the program in the early days and have continued to be a valuable technical partner for us over the past nine seasons.

I am happy that we now have more seasons ahead of us and my thanks go to Fred Vasseur and many others at Scuderia Ferrari who continue to show faith in our work. This announcement is just another example of MoneyGram Haas F1 Team’s long-term ambition – our investment and growth in the sport continues.
