While most people associate the company Hansab with ATMs, the company actually offers high-tech payment, security, multimedia and customer service solutions, as well as parking systems, covering areas from banking to healthcare and security. Although Hansab has been a Telia customer for almost 27 years, since 2019 Telia also offers Hansab a Disaster Recovery service for business customers. All the company’s IT services were moved to Telia in April this year.
“All of Hansab’s customer service, work planning and work organization takes place through the IT service, and today we have hosted everything we need to serve our customers in Telia,” says Reigo Rosin, head of Hansab’s IT services.
“Before that, we managed the servers in our head office ourselves,” says Rosin. “Now it is Telia’s responsibility to keep an eye on all the updates so that they are done on time and to monitor the environment, eliminate anomalies or notify us when there is a strange movement.”
Employees’ time is better used
He states that if until now we were used to doing everything ourselves, the transition to Telia caused some anxiety. “If you give away your services, you have to be sure that they are still safely protected. You have to trust your partner that the things that are promised are actually done.” So far, however, he has nothing bad to say about the cooperation – the service is exactly what is promised. “Since we were in a hurry, the Telia team, their professionalism and the various technological solutions they proposed were very helpful to us at that time.”
In order to be completely sure of the partner, they regularly monitor the security services provided by Telia and perform security checks on Telia’s infrastructure at certain intervals. So far, Telia has not crashed in them.
“Cyber security must be dealt with continuously. It may seem insignificant in those moments when nothing happens, but investing in security pays off in any case. It does not guarantee complete security against attack, but it ensures faster response, isolation of the attack and minimal damage,” explains Rosin.
According to him, the fact that the responsibility is now in one place also speaks in favor of the IT comprehensive service, which means that you no longer have to spend time planning innovations and major changes with several different partners.
“Now the technical people can devote themselves to those activities that bring income to the company and we can deal with offering better solutions to our customers,” Rosin explains that the company’s resources can now be used significantly better. “As part of the entire transition, it has become clear that the people who are responsible for our affairs at Telia are indeed top specialists who really know what they are doing.”
