In three weeks, the construction of the Lääneranna school in Lihula will begin in full swing, because the construction project must be ready by then.
However, preliminary work has already been done and more will be done. Last week, a section of the old school building, which housed a vocational class, as well as an outdoor gymnasium and half of the basketball court, was demolished. A spruce hedge was taken down next to the sports building and the old basement was also demolished. “Because the buildings are coming up there,” said Urmas Osila, head of the economic department of the Läänerantna municipality, to Lääne Elu.
