The corn market is dynamic, the price of wheat is FALLING! | Product exchange

In the week behind us on the Product Exchange, an increased offer was noticeable when it comes to all primary agricultural crops. After four consecutive weeks in which corn was the dominant crop in trading, this week wheat took the primary place. The price of wheat and the price of soybeans recorded a decline, while corn remained at the same price level. A total of 5,350.00 tons of goods were traded, 97.64% more than the previous week, with a total financial value of RSD 132,989,250.00.

The corn market is dynamic

As in the previous week, the corn market again recorded a lot of activity, and the supply was more pronounced than the demand. In the structure of customers, there were mainly exporters and traders, and the demand was mostly focused on corn with an analysis for aflatoxin.

Exchange contracts were concluded in the price range from 19.00 to 20.40 din/kg without VAT, depending on the aflatoxin analysis and parity. The weight price was at last week’s price level and amounted to 19.68 din/kg without VAT (21.65 din/kg with VAT), and the price of corn did not change compared to seven days earlier.

One exchange contract was also concluded at the CPT port parity at a price of 20.60 din/kg without VAT. This week, corn accounted for 41% of the total weekly turnover.

The price of wheat is falling

Unlike the previous week, when the wheat market was very calm, this week there was an increase in the activity of market participants. 2,512.00 tons of goods were traded more than seven days before.

As in the corn market, the wheat market also recorded an increased offer, while buyers showed the most interest in wheat with 11.5% to 12% protein. Exchange contracts were concluded in a wide price range from 22.40 to 23.00 din/kg without VAT, depending on quality and parity parameters.

The weighted price was 22.63 din/kg without VAT (24.89 din/kg with VAT), and a negative price trend of 2.43% was noticeable. Wheat was the primary crop traded this week, accounting for 54% of the total weekly turnover.

Greater supply of soybeans

The soybean market also saw an increased supply, but buyer interest in soybeans was extremely weak. One exchange contract was concluded at a price of 56.50 din/kg without VAT (62.15 din/kg with VAT) with the calculation of quality, and it was also the price weight. Compared to the last comparative data, the price was lower by 4.05%.

The rest

Of the other goods, mineral fertilizer in the formulation NPK 16:16:16 in packaging 25/1 was traded at a price of 51.17 din/kg without VAT (436 €/t without VAT). UREA in packaging 25/1 was also sold at a price of 44.60 din/kg without VAT (389 €/t without VAT).
