Two suspects, believed to be involved in the murder of a man whose body was found in a suitcase near a road in Pungești, Vaslui, were caught by the police in Brașov county.

The two, a 27-year-old woman and a 32-year-old man, cohabitants, will be handed over to the prosecutors in Vaslui for further investigations.
“Police officers from Brașov caught the possible suspects in the murder case from Vaslui,” announced the Romanian Police on Facebook.

It is about a 32-year-old man, who would have been a prison colleague of the victim, and a 27-year-old woman, his concubine.
Among the agents involved in this action was Brasov policeman Marian Godină, popular on social networks.

“This evening, July 16, 2024, under the coordination of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Vaslui Court and the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police, with the support of the National Institute of Criminalistics, the Criminal Investigation Department, the Special Operations Department and the Braşov County Police Inspectorate, were detected in the municipality of Braşov, two people, a 32-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman, both from Pungeşti commune, cohabitants, suspected of having been involved in the death of a 36-year-old man from the commune Onceşti, Bacău County”, informed the Romanian Police.

In this case, a criminal case for aggravated murder was drawn up, and investigations continue to establish the circumstances in which the 36-year-old victim died and to order the necessary legal measures.

The body of the 36-year-old man, from Oncești commune, Bacău county, was discovered on July 15, 2024, at 9:27 p.m., by a local resident of Pungești, who notified the police after finding the suspicious suitcase on the side of a road .
