The Dakar ended with a historic sports victory

The 43-year-old driver – with the German Timo Gottschalk navigating – became the first Saudi winner in the history of the competition. The race ended with the victory of Daniel Sanders for the bikers, the Australian biker also celebrated his first Dakar success.

On the final day, only one 61-kilometer section had to be completed around Subájtah. The Brazilian and Spanish duo of Lucas Moraes and Armand Monleon were the fastest among the drivers, while Michael Docherty from South Africa was the fastest among the motorcyclists.


In the Classic category, Péter Hamza and András Kalmár finished the last day in 39th place, and Tamás Mikucza and András Bakó in 55th place. The Hamzás finished in the 60th and the Mikuczás in the 75th position overall.
