The date has been set: On these two evenings, AXN BLACK will show the new six episodes of the second part of the fifth season of Yellowstone as marathon programming.
Last Tuesday, the long-awaited second part of the fifth season of the contemporary western series started with a big bang, as one of the main characters left the Dutton family ensemble. The pay-TV channel AXN Black, which can be received on various platforms, shows a new episode every Tuesday evening, which is available the day before in the in-house media library.
All episodes in one go in a marathon
After the first broadcast, AXN has now announced the date for the broadcast in the block. If you’re a fan of cliffhangers and don’t want to wait for the new episode every week, you can watch the marathon on January 3rd and 4th, starting at 8:15 p.m. on the channel. As an alternative, repeats will be available in double episodes on Tuesdays from 8:15 p.m. from January 7th.
What happens in “Yellowstone”?
“Yellowstone” is a contemporary western series written by Taylor Sheridan and starring Hollywood star Kevin Costner. It tells the gripping story of the Dutton family, who control the largest continuous cattle ranch in the United States. Surrounded by rival interests – from an expanding city to an Indian reservation to America’s first national park – the family must assert itself amid power struggles, unsolved crimes and personal conflicts. The previous Hollywood strike, in which not only actors but also authors took part, prevented filming at the time, so that only part of the fifth season was shown and it ended abruptly. After a year delay, the rest of the fifth season is finally running.

AXN Black is available in Germany as a pay TV channel and with its media library on various platforms, including via Vodafone, MagentaTVAmazon Prime Video Channels or waipu.tv. The episodes of “Yellowstone” will be broadcast there in the German version. The previous seasons including the first part of the fifth season are also available via Paramount+ on demand.
