In Keraniganj of the capital, the woman who planned the kidnapping was arrested by the RAB after kidnapping her husband with the help of her lover and demanding ransom, along with five members of the gang including her boyfriend. Name of the victim’s husband. Faisal (30).
The arrested are – Mocha, Faisal’s wife. Jannatul Ferdous (18), her boyfriend. Rifat Shikder (19), Mohammad Raj (21), Md. Mehdi Hasan (19) and Mocha. Kashfia Akhtar (15).
A team of RAB-10 rescued the abducted husband unharmed along with their arrest from a house in Motijheel of the capital on Saturday evening.
According to RAB, Jannatul and her boyfriend demanded 60 thousand rupees from Faisal as ransom on the day after Faisal was kidnapped. With this money they planned to run away and get married.
RAB-10 Assistant Director (Media) Tapas Karmakar confirmed this information on Sunday morning.
He said, living in Bayara Bazar area of South Keraniganj. Faisal (30) removed from the same area last November 7 with family consent. Married to Jannatul Ferdous (18). The next day around 6 pm, Faisal and his wife Jannatul went for a walk in the Sarighat area of South Keranij. Two hours later, Jannatul went alone to her husband’s house and informed her mother-in-law that Faisal was beaten and forcibly abducted by unknown 6/7 persons in a CNG to an unknown location.
After the incident, Faisal’s mother started searching for her relatives everywhere. At one point, the unidentified kidnappers called Faisal’s mother’s mobile number and demanded Rs 60 as ransom, otherwise they threatened to kill Faisal.
Later, Faisal’s mother filed a kidnapping case against unknown 6/7 people at Dakshin Keraniganj police station.
According to RAB, after learning about the matter, a raiding party of RAB-10 quickly rescued the kidnapped Faisal and started intelligence surveillance and shadow investigation with the aim of arresting the kidnappers and within 1 hour of the case, Faisal was rescued unharmed from Gopibagh area of Motijheel along with Rifat, the mastermind of the kidnapping gang. Shikder, Mohammad Raj (21) and Md. Mehedi Hasan (19) was arrested.
Later, on the basis of the information given by them, the other two accused of the kidnapping gang were deleted from the Gopi Bagh area under Wari police station on the same date. Kashfia Akhter (15) and victim Faisal’s wife Mocha. Arrested Jannatul Ferdous.
During the interrogation of the arrested, RAB said that accused Rifat had a love relationship with victim Faisal’s wife Jannat. The day after Faisal’s marriage, Rifat and Jannat, with the help of their accomplices, kidnapped Faisal and demanded 60,000 taka as ransom.
According to RAB, Rifat and Jannat had planned to get married after fleeing to another place with the money. It is also reported that the arrested accused have been handed over to the concerned police station.
