Israel’s war with Hamas
Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov did not comment in detail on the issuance of ICC arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the country’s former Defense Minister Yoav Galant. This is reported by TASS.
“We see no point in commenting on this in any way, because for us these decisions are insignificant,” said the Kremlin representative.
Let us remind you that Israeli politicians are suspected of committing war crimes in the Gaza Strip. The ICC believes that Netanyahu and Galant are responsible for deliberately causing famine, murder, as well as persecution and directing attacks on civilians amid the war against Hamas militants.
At the same time, the court found that there was enough evidence to believe that the Israeli prime minister and the former head of the Ministry of Defense deliberately and consciously deprived the civilian population of Gaza of water, food, medicine, fuel and electricity. According to the ICC, the actions of Netanyahu and Galant led to the fact that humanitarian organizations were unable to deliver aid to civilians.
An arrest warrant has also been issued for slain Hamas leader Mohammed Deif.
