The demand for resignation of the President, cancellation of the constitution and banning of A. League-Chatra League by Thursday

Public gathering at Shaheed Minar

During the current week, the President. Sahabuddin’s resignation, cancellation of the current constitution and banning of Chhatra League, Awami League, Jubo League have given 5 demands of anti-discrimination students.

Hasnat Abdullah, one of the coordinators, announced this demand from the protest program in front of the central Shaheed Minar on Tuesday afternoon.

Hasnat Abdullah announced 5 points of demand and said that we are announcing 5 points from Shaheed Minar from which we raised 1 point of demand. Our demands are:-1. The existing constitution should be repealed immediately and a new constitution should be written in the context of the popular uprising of 24. 2. Chhatra League should be banned from Bangladesh for life as a terrorist organization by this week. 3. President Sahabuddin must resign within this week. 4. The ‘Proclamation of the Republic’ must be announced within this week in the light of the July revolution. Bangladesh will continue on the basis of the opinion of the existing democratic active political parties of Bangladesh. 5. The 10th, 11th and 12th parliamentary elections in 2014, 2018 and 2024 must be declared illegal. Those who were elected in these three elections, their assets should be confiscated and legal action should be taken so that they can never vote in Bangladesh.

Hasnat said, “If our 5-point demand is not met within this week, we will take to the streets again.”

Abdul Hannan Masood, another coordinator of anti-discrimination student movement, said, We started our revolution from this Shaheed Minar. Fascist Hasina fled from Bangladesh fearing that revolution. And now, you are deceiving the public as president. Because, what you said on August 5, you are saying new things by forgetting the current instructions. We want to make it clear – just like Hasina, the murderer, escaped, Chuppu must also escape. On the question of the country, on the question of ten, revolutionaries are always in the field.

Sarjis Alam said at the rally, “If need be again, we are ready to give our eyes, ready to give our legs, ready to give our hands, even ready to give our lives.” The rise of the fascist party Chhatra League will not be tolerated as it has killed our brothers.

Students participating in the rally – ‘Our struggle, will continue; Abu Said is impressed, the war is not over; Action Action, Direct Action; Awami League brokers are alert; Chhatra League brokers are alert; Dictatorship friends beware; Illegal President, Manina Mana; Awami League started chanting slogans like ban Chhatra League.

Nusrat Tabassum, Abu Bakr Majumdar, Rifat Rashid and others of anti-discrimination student movement also spoke in this rally.

Meanwhile, the anti-discrimination student movement has called an emergency press conference today at 7:30 p.m.
