The development of infrastructure and investments must take place in parallel

The development of infrastructure and investments must take place in parallel, in order to ensure long-term and sustainable development, assessed the Minister of Spatial Planning, Urbanism and State Property, Slaven Radunović.

He participated in an event organized by TurkCham Montenegro, where key topics from the fields of tourism, real estate and construction were discussed.

Radunović, as announced by the Ministry, answered questions about Turkish investors and procedures for obtaining building permits.

He pointed out that the adoption of three sets of key laws is in progress, which will significantly facilitate processes and improve the business environment.

“When asked whether we can expect an increase in the construction business in Montenegro, Radunović replied that the Parliament is in the process of adopting a law according to which, upon Montenegro’s entry into the European Union (EU), EU citizens will have the same rights as Montenegrin citizens when it comes to ownership of real estate,” the announcement added.

This measure, as assessed, will significantly encourage the expansion of construction and further strengthen investment flows in the country.

One of the topics was traffic infrastructure, with an emphasis on the challenges on the coastal highway.

Radunović reminded that the reconstruction of the main road Tivat-Budva is underway, which will improve connectivity and security in that region.

He concluded that the Government remains committed to solving existing problems.
