A doctor in Bratislava performed surgery under the influence of alcohol, ended up in a police detention cell.
As reported by Bratislava police spokeswoman Silvia Šimková, on Wednesday, November 13, they received an anonymous report about a doctor under the influence of alcohol in an ambulance in Podunajské Biskupice. After arriving at the ambulance, the police officer asked the doctor to submit to a breathalyzer test, but she did not agree to it.
The police officers instructed her that if she refuses to submit to an examination to detect an addictive substance, or to a medical examination by taking and examining blood or other biological material, she is committing a crime. After refusing all services, the doctor was escorted to the police station and placed in a police custody cell. The authorized police officer accused 31-year-old Juliana Ď. from Košice for the criminal act of endangerment under the influence of an addictive substance. The matter is implemented by the so-called super fast action.
