The doctor revealed which heart rate is life-threatening

The therapist told me in what case it is necessary to call an ambulance.

Therapist Andrei Kondrakhin explained which pulse is normal for a person, and which indicator is life-threatening.

The candidate of medical sciences said that the optimal heart rate is considered to be between 55 and 80 beats per minute. You need to call an ambulance in two cases, a specialist pointed out in a conversation with “Moscow 24” We are talking about situations when the heart rate drops below 45 or above 130 beats per minute.

The doctor noted that when the pulse is too high, the heart works ineffectively and contracts so quickly that it is not filled with blood. As a result, a heart attack cannot be ruled out, Kondrakhin warned.

A pulse of 45 or below means that the heart is not transferring blood normally. “In fact, the person seems to be in a stunned state and may lose consciousness,” the doctor warned, adding that in this case cardiac arrest is possible.
