Almost five days after running away, Amalka is still nowhere to be found. Terrified by “a hard landing” at Charles de Gaulle airport, according to her owner Míša, the dog ran away as soon as staff started unloading the baggage hold. Since then, Míša has launched a call for witnesses and shares daily the progress of research on Instagramin the hope of finding his animal.
Her story stirred people on social media, where videos of Amalka wandering on the snow-covered airport tarmac are being filmed. The airport authorities are seriously looking into this matter. “Research continues and all efforts are being made by Air France (which notably mobilized seconded staff and volunteers), Paris Aéroport and the air transport police to find the animal,” indicates Air France on X.
A cage installed in the forest
The airline specifies that it took care of Míša’s stay at the airport while the dog was found. But the Croatian tourist regularly attacks the authorities in her stories, accusing Air France of having “lied” to her and of not putting enough resources into action.
The latter was seen in a forest at the end of the slopes, but does not respond to Míša’s calls, the young girl despairs. A fire brigade and a drone were mobilized, as well as a veterinarian equipped with a tranquilizer gun to safely put the dog to sleep. A cage was even installed on Saturday evening in the area where Amalka was seen. No results yet…
