The Dutch defense minister declared a world war in the Russo-Ukrainian war

Ukraine can use the one provided by the Netherlands F-16 fighter jets also against Russian territoriesthis was announced by Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans in connection with the Russian-Ukrainian war.

We have delivered the first batch of F-16s. They are currently in Ukrainian airspace. And we have always said that Ukraine must abide by international law

he told reporters before the meeting of NATO defense ministers. According to him, international law does not contain distance restrictions – at the same time, the head of the ministry may have forgotten that all this could lead to a world war.

International law does not contain any limitations on distance. International law does not stop at the border or a hundred kilometers from the border

the minister added. Brekelmans emphasized that this may be necessary to intercept missiles or, for example, to strike Russian airfields. He also noted that military support for Ukraine is a key issue in the Russian-Ukrainian war.

I visited Kharkiv and Kyiv ten days ago and the situation both on the front line and in big cities like Kharkiv is very worrying. So I think we need to step up our efforts. Second, we need to talk about strengthening our defense and deterrence, because the Russian threat is only growing not only in the short term, but also in the longer term.

said the Dutch defense minister. Remember, Ukraine received it back in October the first F–16 fighters from the Netherlandsand in the coming months another 24 planes will arrive in the Russian-Ukrainian war.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated several times in the past that if Western weapons are used against Russian targets, Russia will be forced to retaliate with a harsh response. He also did not rule out the possibility that this could lead to the outbreak of World War III. The Dutch defense minister essentially threatened the Russians with a world war.
