The editor-in-chief of the Russian newspaper “Narodna Gazeta” Yuliya Kuznetsova was killed today in an attack by a Ukrainian drone in the Kuka region, the regional authorities announced.
“Today, Yulia Kuznetsova, the editor-in-chief of the newspaper ‘Narodnaya Gazeta’ from the Bolshesoldak district, tragically died in this district after a Ukrainian drone targeted her vehicle,” announced regional governor Alexey Smirnov.
He said that Kuznetsova was carrying important archive files from the newspaper’s office and was preparing to publish a new article about the current situation in the region, TASS reports.
The governor added that two people were injured in the drone attack and were transferred to the hospital for treatment.
Before the governor confirmed that Kuznetsova was killed, district chief Vladimir Zaitsev announced on Telegram that one person was killed in the Bolshesolt district of the Kursk region in a drone attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the official car of a local police officer.
