The Chinese manufacturer is launching the Zeekr Mix, an electric family minivan which offers generous and flexible interior space.
After the Zeekr 001 and Zeekr X, the Chinese firm is launching its latest model: the Zeekr Mix.
A comfortable living room for families
After experiencing success in the 1990s, the segment of minivans has been neglected in recent years in favor of SUVs, which continue to be popular. And yet, several manufacturers want to bring this monovolume silhouette, appreciated for its practical aspects, up to date. This is how Zeekr has just launched its new family vehicle: the Zeekr Mix.
Based on the Geely group’s SEA-M platform, the Zeekr Mix extends over 4.69 meters in length, with short overhangs and a generous wheelbase of 3.01 meters. This allows it to offer, despite its compact dimensions, a particularly habitable and spacious interior: there are swivel front seats as well as a mobile central console, which allows you to modulate the living space according to your activities, and transform this car into a real living room. In addition, accessibility is optimized by the presence of four sliding doors as well as a hidden central B-pillar, replaced by two very high-strength steel pillars integrated into each door.
Zeekr Mix: more than 700 kilometers of autonomy
Safety was at the heart of the Zeekr Mix design: this core structure was reinforced through a unique thickening process, providing 30% greater strength than conventional hot-formed steel. In practice, the doors offer a 1.48 meter wide entrance and a floor height of just 390 mm, allowing easy access on board. Designed to make the daily lives of its users easier, the Zeekr Mix has a turning radius of less than 5 metersthanks to front wheels that can turn more than 50 degrees, making it easier to move around and maneuver around town.
Equipped with a 100% electric motorizationthe Zeekr Mix offers the choice between two 800 V batteries: a 76 kWh LFP (lithium-iron-phosphate) battery offering a range of 550 kilometers, according to the Chinese CLTC cycle, as well as an NMC (nickel-manganese -cobalt) of 102 kWh offering autonomy of more than 700 kilometers (according to the CLTC cycle). LFP batteries feature an ultra-fast charge rate of 5.5C, allowing recovery from 10% to 80% capacity in just 10.5 minutes.
Orders for the Zeekr Mix are now open in China, at a price of 279,900 yuan, the equivalent of approximately 36,500 euros. The manufacturer has not yet announced a marketing date in Europe for the moment.
